In 2020, the government of BiH contributed BAM15.2 million (US$9.1 million) to mine action.[3] Since 2016, BiH has contributed to more than half of its total mine action budget (61%).
Since 2016, international assistance to BiH has totaled some $39 million, representing an average of $7.8 million per year.
BiH’s most recent Mine Ban Treaty extension request projects that a mine action budget of more than $200 million is required for 2021–2027, half of which would be funded by national resources, while the rest should be secured from international donors.[4]
