Saint Kitts and Nevis signed the Mine Ban Treaty on 3 December 1997 and ratified it on 2 December 1998, becoming a State Party on 1 June 1999. It has not enacted new legislation specifically to implement the Mine Ban Treaty.

Saint Kitts and Nevis has not attended any recent meetings of the treaty. It did not attend the Third Review Conference in Maputo in June 2014. Saint Kitts and Nevis occasionally submits updated Article 7 transparency reports. It submitted its initial report on 27 November 1999 covering 1 March to 27 November 1999, and submitted updated reports in 2012–2014 and 2016.

Saint Kitts and Nevis is not party to the Convention on Conventional Weapons. However, it is party to the Convention on Cluster Munitions.

Use, production, transfer, and stockpile

Saint Kitts and Nevis has never used, produced, exported, or imported antipersonnel mines, including for training purposes.
