Support for Mine Action
In 2019, Ireland contributed some €650,000 (US$727,610) for mine clearance in the Republic of Somaliland.[1] No new contribution to victim assistance programs was reported since 2011.
Since 2012, international assistance to Somaliland’s mine action program has fallen significantly, from more than $5 million in 2012 to some $700,000 in 2019. Contributions fell to a low of some $100,000 in 2017. From 2015–2019, Somaliland received a total of $4.1 million in support.
