Support for Mine Action

In 2019, seven donors contributed US$8.8 million for mine action activities in the Republic of South Sudan.[1]

The largest contributions came from Germany and the United States (US), which provided around $2 million each. Both contributions represented almost half of all support in 2019.

South Sudan also received in-kind assistance from Switzerland valued at CHF430,000 ($432,726) for clearance activities.[2]

In 2015–2019, international assistance toward mine action activities in South Sudan totaled some $43 million. Since 2015, annual contributions fluctuated from $6 million to more than $11 million.
